eNotarization is official in Colorado now.

Colorado allows the use of Remote Online Notarization (RON) services. On December 31, 2020, it was declared legal. Because of the simplicity of RON's document notarization services and in an effort to stop the COVID-19 pandemic, Senate Bill 20-096 legalized the practice.

RON enables remote notarization of documents by bringing together signers and authorized public notaries online. Digital signatures and digital stamps are used to approve the papers for notarization on the RON platform, which uses audio-video technology to complete the notarization procedure.

Notaries must pass a RON training course and exam to become public notaries and notarize documents through RON. They must also be commissioned as a Colorado Notary public.
